Hello and welcome to MySelf Builder Digital Workshop, where we develop online coaching and mentoring sessions that are right for you.
Have you had a moment where several thoughts seem to race through your head at once?
You think, "What if this happens?" or "This situation may not work out like I hoped." Maybe you imagine a lot of scenarios, make an assumption, or try to make a decision early without having all of the information.
When you have several thoughts at once, it can feel like a stampede of horses are running around in your head.
You can take steps to calm your mind by organizing your thoughts.
If you could give your thoughts and concerns names like racehorses, what would they be called?
Famous racehorses have powerful names like Stronghold, Resilience, and Fierceness. You don't see horses named "Doubt" or "Depression" in the Kentucky Derby or hear the announcers say, "There goes Anxiety in first place followed by Anger and Sadness."
Next, begin to label your thoughts and concerns. Are these separate issues or connected in some way?
Now, try to focus on one idea, or horse, at a time. Determine which thoughts are the most important right now. Add a number to rank each thought from most important to least important, with 1 being your highest priority.
